Victorine E. du Pont was the sister of Col. Henry Algernon du Pont and the wife of Antoine L. Foster, whom she married on October 18, 1877. She was a founding member of the Garden Club of Wilmington and from 1911 to 1934, was vice-regent for Delaware, Regents of Mount Vernon, Virginia (the Mount Vernon Ladies' Assn. of the Union).
